BJJ is a combat sport and self defense system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. It teaches that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger assailant by using leverage and proper technique.

BJJ training can be used for mixed martial arts competitions or self defense. Sparring plays a major role in training.

CrossFit Power Station offers mixed classes where members progress through a ranking system.

NEXT GENERATION

Unfortunately we live in a society where children can sometimes find themselves at the mercy of bullies within their school or playground environments. So how do we help our youth to gain the confidence and skills to not only protect and defend themselves but to also empower them with the knowledge and self esteem that enables them to diffuse a potentially aggressive situation?

With the Next Generation BJJ programme we teach children the skills to defend themselves and, only if necessary, to gain control of the conflict until help arrives. We do not teach aggressive attack techniques – we are all about using skills to neutralise any confrontational situation.

As a result the children gain confidence in their own ability to stand up to a bully and should the worst happen they are able to take defensive steps to protect themselves.
